PAMELA REID

A background in advertising (Australian & UK), and a 25 year career in music and entertainment management, were the springboard for Pamela to pursue her passion for visual arts.

Working across several mediums, she considers her art observational, seeing through a lens, influenced by light (Pamela was given her first camera when she was ten years old). When life drawing, she responds to gesture, the impact of light on tonal qualities and the body’s framework. Similarly, Pamela prefers painting en plein air to depict the movement of daylight on landscapes. Recently, she has been “urban abstract sketching a name Pamela has given her quirky perceptions of the old and new, the juxtaposition in architectural history of her neighbourhood surrounds – our urban landscape.

She also runs introductory workshops in Life Drawing and Abstract Drawing. Pamela’s artworks are in private collections in Australia, Europe and USA.
