Madeleine Appleby is a Melbourne based emerging artist and recent graduate from RMIT, Bachelor of Fine Arts. Her practice is inspired by her love for experimentation, movement and curiosity of materiality and colour. Madeleine's practice ranges from small to large-scale mixed media abstract work. Each piece is driven by an instinctive and playful process that aims to find a balance of spontaneity with structure and material play. In creating each work Madeleine aims to explore manipulations of materiality, pattern and colour to expand her practice. As she continues to develop her voice as an artist, Madeleine remains dedicated to creating unique and vibrant pieces that aim to bring energy and light to every space.
